Trigger - Sampling

When a user is deemed to be eligible for a survey invitation, i.e., they have met one of the trigger thresholds, an additional call is made to a ForeSee web service to determine whether the user is “in the pool”. The server decides if the user is in the pool by selecting users at random according to a sampling percentage stored on the server. If the user is selected, the code launches the invitation.

During development, this may not be the most convenient behavior so for debugging purposes. Therefore, the client may configure the code to skip the “pooling” check. This is done via the configuration API:

When the client is ready to implement the sampling check, they should contact the Customer Experience Analyst who is able to set up the desired sample rate.
