Surveys are triggered and presented to the visitors if the following conditions are met:
Have we invited the visitor before? If yes, the survey will be presented again to visitor based on the Re-Invite Behavior configurations.
The visitor is not included in the Global Exclusion List or Page-level Exclusion List. Global Exclusion list includes configuration options, such as, current URLs, referring URLs, user agents, browsers, page variables, cookies, CPPs. For example, internal users could be included in a Global Exclusion List to avoid showing them the surveys. If a visitor matches the conditions in Global Exclusion List, they are never shown the survey.
Page-level Exclusion List also includes configuration options, such as, current URLs, referring URLs, user agents, browsers, page variables, cookies, CPPs. If visitors match the conditions, they are not shown the survey on the current web page they visited. They can be presented the survey on another page.
The visitor’s browser meets our supported browsers list. Browsers supported vary by the Web SDK versions.
The visitor’s device meets our supported platforms list. Platforms supported vary by the Web SDK versions.
If the conditions listed above are met, surveys definition is checked to determine the survey that should be presented to the visitors. Based on the survey chosen, the respondent selection process is performed. Respondents can be selected randomly or based on exit intent.
